1970களில் இந்திய அரசால் ஒடுக்கப்பட்ட வங்காள கிளர்ச்சியில் தன் அன்புக்குரிய மகனை இழந்த அம்மாவின் கதை இது. 30 வருடங்களுக்கு மேலாய் போரினில் தம் எண்ணற்ற பிள்ளைகளை இழந்த எமது நிலத்தின் தாய்மாரது குரலுக்கு நெருக்கமானதாய் ஒலிக்கிறது. பிள்ளைகளை இழத்தலின் வலியை கூறும் இத் திரைப்படத்தின் கதாசிரியர் ஆச்சரியத்துக்கு இடமின்றி வங்காளத்தில் அந்தக் காலப்பகுதியில் வாழ்ந்த மஹாஸ்வேதா தேவி என்கிற பெண் மனிதஉரிமைப் போராளியே ஆவார். ஹிந்தியில் புகழ்பெற்ற கோவிந்த் நிஹ்லானியால் இயக்கப்பட்ட இத் திரைப்படத்தின் திரையிடல் மார்கழி 20 – 2009 – வரும் ஞாயிறு 2:30 pm – Torontoவில் Scarborough Civic Centerஇல் இடம்பெறுகிறது.

Screening of a movie called “Body No 1084’s mother.” [ a Hindi film ]
if you’re a movie lover with the mixture of human history, you would definitely enjoy watching this. this is a movie about a mother losing her son in the Bengal in the 1970s Naxalite era . It is too seldom a woman’s feeling explored well in Film or Literature. This movie is such an exception. very thought provoking… and it is not surprising to know that story and screen play for this movie is written by Mahasweta Devi, infamous women writer from Bengal.
Come to hear the Voice of a MOTHER, echoing many mothers who have lost their children to violence of some sort.
